How to be a good photojournalist

Among the photojournalist qualities, in my opinion, the most important one is curiosity. “Good photojournalists are not in love with photography, they are in love with people and life.” I totally agree with it. I think the other qualities, such as blend with the environment, always be prepared, be patient, can be acquired after some training and practice, but love of life and people is the inner power which drives a person to observe life, hunter interesting moments and share the stories with others.
Photographs are not lifeless pictures, they are emotional moments captured by photographers. The most important element to make a good feature photograph is emotion, which is not only the emotion of the people in the picture, but also the emotion of the photographer behind the picture. While taking a picture, photographers put their emotion in their works.
The biggest problem for me to take feature pictures is, just like David Sinder's, to conquer my fear of taking someone's photo without their permission.
